The Real Life Adventures Of A One-Man Band (2009)

This five song EP (do they still call them EP's?) was recorded in the winter of 2009 at Casey's Musical Dustbin (ie. Casey's basement). Recorded live directly to tape with no edits or overdubs (except for one werewolf sound effect) this one man band outing finds Casey accompanying himself on guitar, drums and harmonica simultaneously (or as simultaneously as possible, anyway) conjuring up the ghosts of Hasil Adkins, Dr. Ross and Jesse Fuller. A ragged blend of rockabilly, R&B and surf (well, sort of) these five original tunes explore the worlds of werewolves, maimed surfers, beer and debauched PTA members.

1. Rockin' The PTA

Performing at the bottom rung of the entertainment industry has resulted in such soul destroying gigs as; opening up for a ventriloqusit and playing during the intermission of a beauty pagent for five year olds. I have yet to perform for a parent-teacher association but, I often wonder, can this gig be far off? This also is the first song in popular music history (or perhaps, unpopular music history) to incorporate the word "cafetorium" in consecutive stanzas. This last claim is somewhat debatable but it makes me happy to believe it's true.

2. The Werewolf Song

I have long been a fan of such halloween/novelty records as "Monster Mash", "Dinner w/Drac" and Screaming Lord Sutch's "She's Fallen In Love With The Monster Man". Sadly, not many people seem to write stupid songs like that anymore. Here is my humble attempt. My only regret is that it will never be released on a red vinyl 45.

3. Shark City

Don't go near the water! With apologies to The Surfaris, Brian Wilson, The Trashmen etc.

4. IAN: KING OF BEERS

Everyone who's ever gone to college has known a guy like Ian. If you did not, perhaps it's because you WERE Ian. Many of the incidents in this song are true ,however, the names have been changed to protect the guilty. Ian is currently making six figures as a corporate executive and is president of your local school board.

GENERIC LOVE SONG

If you've been wanting to write a love song to your girlfriend but are too lazy to actually make the effort, than this song is for you. Simply insert her name and particulars in the lyrcs where instructed and you have your very own personalized love song. Guaranteed to work wonders for your love life.
